The South Downs Conservation Volunteers were back on site on the 21st of last month to finish the clearance of the Newmarket Farm Site – invited by the Castle Hill nature reserve managers. I was so busy planning and studying in preparation for last Sunday’s dig, I have only just downloaded the photos from my camera. I didn’t take many, but here they are at last!
The site now looks very different from when we started – perhaps I should do a before and after page. However, as soon as it gets warmer it will all start growing back again very quickly!
