Personal Memories
Woodingdean Then & Now Event, 2011
At ‘Woodingdean Then & Now’ Event, Bob Phipps showed his recent painting of where he had lived as a child, and asked: “Does anyone recognize this?”

Peggy’s Uncle, Douglas Holland had recently painted Newmarket Farm from a site plan and vague memories

Personal Memories
- I volunteered to help Peggy research its history; when it was built (as well as why and by whom), and who had lived there
- Little did we know it would lead to our conducting an archaeological dig and discovering more than enough historical information from maps, documents, and personal memories to write a sizable book!

Thanks for your inspiring adventure and very useful notes on its compilation…… do you like this type of exploration and would you be interested in producing other historical/archaeological type exploration presentations ?
